This time, I'll be working on an album with a very special NY-based organist!! :)

Drummer Daniel Rossi and I will be playing duo together at this intimate venue. We've actually never played together AT ALL, so this will be quite a fun adventure! We know of each other through a few different sources: LA-based Logan Kane, and various PDX-based musicians like Haley Heynderickx, Matt Sazima, and others.

I'll be making yet another duo album... details to be revealed later ;)

Bleeding Vector (Eric Vogler- guitar, Lorin Benedict- voice) will play an hour-long set before the start of the closing show of The Totalitarians, a play by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb. This production is being put on by Sixth Line Studios, a company run by our good friend Katie Rubin. Katie is directing the play as well!

The duo of Kasey Knudsen- alto saxophone, and Lorin Benedict- voice will perform a set at this long-running jazz and improvised music series. Yay!!

Bleeding Vector (Eric Vogler- guitar, Lorin Benedict- voice) play SF Sound's West Oakland Sound Series (the continuation of the great Mosswood Sound Series). The 2nd set will be a CalArts-affiliated band led by haegeum player and composer Jeonghyeon Joo.

I will be doing one of my solo sets, but this time in NYC, at the wonderful Downtown Music Gallery (this will be my 3rd time playing there, but my 1st time playing there solo). My set will be the 4th and final one of the evening. The other 3 will involve folks such as Patrick Brennan, Hilliard Greene, Jason Kao Hwang, and Cooper-Moore!!

Saxophonist and composer Caroline Davis and I will hold forth at this special venue in the Big Apple.

Bassist Jeong Lim Yang, pianist Santiago Leibson, drummer Dan Weiss, and I will play a set of free pieces + standards (attacked in an expansive manner!). We will be playing the penultimate set of the evening. At least one of the other sets shall involve alto saxophonist Jeff Pearring.

I will be doing a SOLO set at the Luggage Store once again, under the auspices of Outsound Presents. I did my very 1st solo set here back in 2019... but since then I've worked a LOT more on solo material/improvising. So... ;)

Lorin Benedict- voice, Eric Markowitz- bass, and Smith Dobson V- drums play this GREAT series within the urban/sylvan wonder of Golden Gate Park. These events are quite unique in that the typical audience member signs up to attend WITHOUT knowing WHO will be playing on any given occasion! But YOU know who'll be playing there on THIS occasion, because you're reading this very event listing!! ;)

I will be mixing it up with the WONDERFUL duo, AURA, which is Marcos Morales Valdes on drums, and Odalys Caro on keyboards. I'm REALLY, REALLY excited for this, to put it mildly!! And it's been quite some time since I last performed at this FANTASTIC yearly event. We'll be playing from 2:30pm - 3:10pm (exactly!), in the Taube Atrium Theater within the SF War Memorial Building.

I will be making music with the GREAT NY-based bassist, composer, and bandleader Jeong Lim Yang, and ALSO the wonderful NY-based pianist Santiago Leibson. They'll both be out here doing a west-coast tour with Lim's Zodiac Suite Trio (with the 3rd member being Gerald Cleaver), but Lim and I wanted to set aside some time to play with each other BEFORE that all kicks off ;)

A brief pre-recorded improvisation of mine will be featured during this hybrid live/remote event! Also featuring creative monsters Michael Coleman, Beth Lisick, Matt Nelson, and PLENTY more.

The Holly Martins (Kasey Knudsen- alto saxophone, Eric Vogler- guitar, Lorin Benedict- voice) play the jazz series at the Makeout Room. This LONG-running affair is now being curated by Karl Alfonso Evangelista. For this show, we will be sharing the bill with: 1. a group led by Mark Clifford, and 2. solo Matt Robidoux!

It turns out that the MAGNIFICENT Levi Lu will be unable to make it to Chicago for this :( , so (as a last-minute substitute), I will be filling in for them! Julián Pujols Quall- piano, composition, and bandleader; Charlie Reichert-Powell- guitar; Leo Buczkowski- bass; Oscar Evely- drums; Yours Truly- voice.

A bunch of vocalists will hold forth on this evening. The list of participants includes: Alexandra Buschman-Román, Roco Córdova, Danishta Rivero Castro, Theresa Wong, and myself.
