This is a live performance of ours (Kasey Knudsen- sax, Ben Goldberg- clarinet, me- voice) from Studio Grand on January 24th, 2015. We did a rondo (ABACA... ) in which the A sections were variants of our arrangement of a portion of the Sextet by Erno Dohnanyi. The intervening sections consisted of reworked jazz standards and open improvisations. I think it turned out rather well in general, partly because the audience was very engaged!
Incidentally, the 2nd set was a performance by an excellent group led by guitarist/composer Nathan Clevenger.
