I know this isn't music, but it is about music. It's an interview with me conducted by Angelina Labate on 11/3/07 at Boulange de Cole Valley in San Francisco. Angelina is an SF-based dancer who, at the time, was studying at San Francisco City College. This interview was the result of an assignment for a jazz appreciation class she was taking there. She asked some really good questions, and I enjoyed being subjected to this, so I thought I'd put it up here in case someone wants more information on what I do and why.
In the interview, I discuss what "scat" is, how and why I started doing it, my take on the jazz scene in general, and some connections (or lack thereof) between my work in music and my other (professional) life.
